The Caribbean the way it use to be.

Exquisite property with wonderful staff and amazing beach views. Unspoiled Caribbean Island. Tranquil with friendly locals. Easy to get to via Bequia Air from Barbados. First Class all the way! We will definitely be returning.

Bequia Beach met and exceeded our expectations!

what a wonderful place! a beautiful well-kept hotel in the midst of a huge lush garden. the atmosphere is very relaxing, elegant, but informal. one evening a week is "owners evening" when You get the chance to mingle with the other guests and the owner, who obviously takes great joy in caring for his guests assuring they have a great stay.

you can easily spend lots of time just enjoying the pools and the gardens . the staff is really sweet, in a discrete and low-key way. one day at the pool

we also spent time exploring the island (we walked everywhere, but there are cheap efficient taxis for everyone who doesn't like walking hilly terrain in the sun), and we used the hotels great concierge service (run by an extremely pleasant and efficient woman

we will definitely come back to bequia beach hotel. it's like staying in a paradise not many people have discovered yet. a charming little gem on a charming little island.

Fantastic hotel in paradise

This hotel is a gem in an incredible location! Hotel clearly prioritizes customer service. Welcome reception was so lovely after a long travel day. Rooms are very well-kept and well appointed. The general manager is constantly wandering the grounds to ensure quality control and to get feedback from guests. Breakfasts were wonderful. Beach was a tad wavy but lovely to be on the beachfront. Short drive to other incredible beaches. But all in all, a fantastic and memorable stay. We will return!

A truly relaxing, ‘get away from it all’ holiday

We returned in less than a year to this unique luxury location with its own beach, away from the crowds and yet close enough to enjoy the local restaurants and other beaches (if needed!). Having the choice of two beaches on either the quieter Atlantic (outside our room) or Caribbean side at Jacks bar (5 mins shuttle away and owned by hotel) of this small island makes Bequia Beach Hotel a uniquely attractive stat. Big thanks to a great reception team who looked after all our needs both inside and outside the hotel grounds, with friendly bar and restaurant staff most of whom are on first name terms and quietly anticipated our needs without fuss and formality. We love it here and will return again, as it seems many other guests do too. Special thanks to Rima, Deli, Hope, Kelsey, Sheena and team, ncluding egg chef Ali, and particularly Anne Marie who kept our beachside room immaculate despite our sandy feet! 17 days of bliss . . .

Our Favourite Place

This was the third time my husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel and it was without doubt just as brilliant as the previous occasions. This really is home away from home for us and provides complete relaxation as soon as we arrive; the hotel has a way of slowing your pace down to the Caribbean way. If you are looking for nightlife, perhaps this is not the place for you, this hotel and the island are all about relaxation. Bequia is probably one of a small handful of islands that still retains that true Caribbean feel.
We have now stayed in 3 types of rooms and they are all very nicely decorated, have lovely bathrooms as well as a large balcony with comfortable loungers.

The food is great with the main restaurant overlooking beautiful Friendship Bay - nothing like sitting with your morning coffee, listening to the sound of the waves.
All the staff are friendly and extremely helpful and really make this hotel a special place. I cannot praise Rima (Guest Relationship Manager) enough. Not only is she knowledgeable and always there to help with any arrangements, she handled with resourcefulness, quick actions and such a caring attitude during a medical emergency I suffered whilst there.
We are now counting the days to our next visit - oh yes, we have booked again!

INCREDIBLE HOLIDAY!!

SO MUCH BETTER THAN WE EXPECTED ONCE WE ARRIVED, I am truly shocked how incredible and magical this place is, definitely will be returning! Such friendly kind staff, the manager of the hotel and all the staff are just fantastic they couldn't do enough for us, absolutely outstanding, this holiday was a dream come true, what an outstanding resort, we also booked a trip on the star of the sea, I will remember this day for the rest of my life, absolutely amazing! We got a introduction by the captain himself and the staff on the yacht were so polite, friendly, professional and just fantastic, especially Chelsea, she went above and beyond to make sure we were all very well looked after, the whole experience of this trip was incredible and I wish I had booked for longer than a week, there's so much to do, AMAZING

Bequia beach hotel review

Where do I even begin? The resort is the most beautiful resort I've ever seen with three swimming pools inc a sea salt pool. Amazing restaurants and bar serving all the cocktails one could imagine including a new one I found called a mudslide trust me order one and thank me later. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful they even cleaned the room twice in one day. Very trust worthy as we forgot on many occasions our valuables out and came back to see they have been left exactly where we left them. The rooms where amazing we got the one with the private pool outside (family room) omg what fun that was. The beach is literally at your door step with crystal blue water and white sands exactly like the postcards. The hotel manager Rima helped us out with everything from pcr tests to check in ferry rides and so much more including a chartered yacht excursion on "The Star of the sea" which was the most magical day we had from diving of the boat an amazing bbq with drinks included to snorkeling in the coral reefs of Tobago cays with sea turtles giant starfish stingrays pufferfish etc... all this with captain Nigel at the helm laughing and speaking to everyone on board making us all feel welcomed and answering everyone's questions so if you go don't be shy ?? our only regret is we only booked a week and it went way to quick I could've had a few more amazing breakfasts and delicious dinners there if only had booked a 10 day stay. Definitely will next time. I'd give them 100 stars if I could.

Great return visit

A second stay at this lovely hotel in beautiful unspoilt Bequia. This hotel has one of the best beaches we’ve seen in a Caribbean hotel. There may be waves at times but they’re great fun for a bit of bodysurfing & the water is so clear. A warm welcome from staff & a gorgeous seaview suite, definitely worth the extra money. We stayed again for a few days (after a two week villa stay) in a garden room, which are also lovely with a view of the garden. The new infinity pool is a great addition. The food at Bagatelle is delicious, the lobster night is great fun with Clear Eyes providing an opportunity to dance in the sand under the stars. A steel band gave great lazy Sunday vibes. Service at Bagatelle was sometimes lacking due to staffing post-Covid but we love the laidback Caribbean vibe this hotel has. Great staff in reception who book taxis & days out, arranged Covid testing & are always happy to help with a smile. Free transport to Jack’s beach bar for a day at Princess Margaret beach, lunch, dinner & cocktails. It’s not the 5 star swanky luxury you get in some Caribbean hotels but I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on Bequia.

Such an incredible stay!

Having not stayed at Bequia Beach Hotel in 5 years, it was simply incredible to be able to return to the hotel and the island.

Arriving by Bequia Air was great fun and incredibly convenient, in what could otherwise have been a very hectic transfer through Barbados airport, we were met before immigration by Bequia Air and escorted through the fast track system.

It’s the small touches at the hotel which really made our stay, from a welcome cocktail on arrival while you check in, to complimentary fruit smoothies by the pool, the ever helpful staff are always on hand with a smile.

We walked along Friendship Bay, the beautiful beach that the hotel sits on, every day, and it was just wonderful how peaceful it was. The hotel blends in with its surrounding environment, and with the steel band on Sunday, it really is the perfect place to relax.

We spent most days by the salt water infinity pool that overlooks the ocean, though there is another pool and of course, sunbeds on the beach to use. While we looked at going to the gym, we instead got side-tracked into the spa next door for a massage.

We explored other places on the island, the Limings, Frangipani, and Jacks (which is linked to the hotel) and faces the other side of the island so is a great place for sunset drinks; as well as a fun little floating bar which sits just offshore.

Food at the hotel was exactly what you would want from a Caribbean island, while there is an Italian restaurant in the hotel, we chose to eat most nights down by the beach. There is an all you can eat lobster night and on a different evening a BBQ night, with some of the best ribs and jerk chicken I have ever had.

The hotel invites a friendly atmosphere, the owner happily comes around and says hello to make sure everything is going well, the staff are fabulous and the ladies at the front desk are just superb. I cannot wait to return again!

Sublime Relaxation

This is our third visit to the Bequia Beach. We never thought we would come back to the same hotel more than once, but when you’ve found a hotel that hits every button, improves gently on each visit (sea water infinity pool, I’m talking about you) but still feels like coming home, why keep looking? When we left the hotel in March 2020, the staff stood on the front steps waving us goodbye with a horrible portent of what was about to happen. Two years later, to the day, we walked back through the beautiful entranceway, with the same staff saying hello and it was (almost) as if the last two hideous years had melted away.
One of the hotels positive attributes is that it is a bit of an adventure to get to. One international flight plus one tiny plane (all handled with huge efficiency by the transfer team and Bequia Air) means you’re in transit for long enough to feel you’ve really escaped. And when you arrive, the sound of the sea from your bedroom (beachfront villas are worth every penny), the deeply comfortable bed, the properly powerful shower and you’re on island time before the first mojito.
Bequia, and the Bequia Beach Hotel, is not an uber-sophisticated Caribbean fashionista paradise. The sea can be brisk, the winds are strong (it’s a sailing paradise), the menu in the Bagatelle restaurant for dinner is simple, fresh and delicious, the rooms do not have massive flat screen televisions (why would you need one with those views?!). But it is true to itself, it offers the kindest staff, the warmest welcome, the deepest relaxation, the most glorious setting, a compete escape from a world turned upside down. Thank you Mr Bengt and everyone at the Bequia Beach. We can’t wait for our fourth visit.

Quiet & Beautiful Caribbean

We stayed at the resort the week of May 8-15. We had the experience of a lifetime.
The staff was amazing!! They took special care to get to know us throughout our stay, and in knowing what excursions we might be doing every day. The accommodations were five star. The vibe on the resort (and the island) was Euro-Caribbean - sophisticated yet laid back. We felt safe, and the people were incredibly friendly. The resort was able to organize our scuba dives, as well as an adventure to Tobago Cay, which was amazing.

Truly a magical place!

Our stay at Bequia Beach hotel was perfect. It was beautiful, serene, down to earth and luxurious all in one. We felt like a part of the family by the time we left. We were touched by each and every one of the staff, as they took amazing care of us! The food was delicious, highlighted by the incredible breakfasts of fresh local fruits and fresh pressed juices! They even made us homemade gluten-free bread. The location was ideal, close to town and just over the hill from Jack's Beach Bar set on another gorgeous beach. Cannot recommend this resort enough, we will be back!

A truly magical place.

The Bequia Beach Hotel is one of those truly magical hotel experiences that transcends the sum of its parts. At once luxurious and authentic, sophisticated and relaxed, this is a place that imagines a bygone era and truly encapsulates the art of travel. This is a five star hotel in the most genuine sense — eschewing opulence and exclusivity in favour of exceptional service and a true appreciation for the culture and natural world in which it sits. From the architecture and decor to the fabulously maintained gardens and grounds, to the postcard-perfect beach, this is the Caribbean as one dreams of it. The food and beverage offering is world class, locally sourced and delicious—don't miss lobster night. The treatments at the spa are exceptional and the environment completely serene. Every single member of the BBH team is incredibly friendly, courteous and professional. The COVID precautions were seamless, unobtrusive and discrete, with the safety of staff and guests taken very seriously. A special thank you to Rima for taking such wonderful care of us every step of the way, and to Candy for her charisma and good humour. Bequia Beach Hotel exceeded our every expectation, and we will without doubt be back very soon

A long awaited dream come true!

After visiting Mustique for many years I have always wanted to visit Bequia. We spent 9 nights at this wonderful hotel in October 20 and it exceeded all expectations. Our sea view suite was perfect and within stepping distance of the waves, the gardens are beautiful and lush. But it’s the staff who made this visit, nothing is too much trouble, from the ladies who looked after us in our room with such loving care, to Maurice at the pool bar each day who went the extra mile always. And the wonderful Rami who made our holiday so perfect, solving any issues and so full of fun! We loved being able to visit the wonderful Jack’s bar at the sensational Princess Margaret beach with its fabulous bathing, here too amazing staff.

I always believe that good hotels have visible managers and this is no exception, Mr Bentz was always accessible and added to our experience. We were privileged to be among the few at this hotel at this time but we felt like royalty! Highly recommend.

The Perfect Escape

It was truly wonderful being able to escape to The Bequia Beach Hotel on the stunning island of Bequia. The fabulous staff are second to none and went above and beyond to ensure our trip was everything we wished it to be and more. Their handling of COVID was stringent yet unintrusive and in no way impacted upon the tranquillity of our stay. The hotel is nestled within its own beautifully manicured tropical gardens which run right up to the beach. With so much space to roam, practicing ‘social distancing’ was no problem at all. Whilst quarantining we were able to enjoy the fabulous dining on offer at the hotel, from poolside rotis for lunch to exquisite evening meals at the Blue Tropic Restaurant. The chef was also incredibly accommodating of our vegan daughter. Once we were given the all clear to leave the hotel one of our favourite spots was Bequia Beach’s ‘Jack’s Bar’ situated on Princess Margaret’s Beach with equally delicious food and outstanding passionfruit mojitos (best enjoyed at sunset)! Time really does slow down on Bequia and the ambience of the Bequia Beach Hotel is the perfect fusion of boutique hotel, chic and style with the laidback, friendly energy of the Caribbean. The perfect escape and a holiday we will never forget. We hope to be back soon.

Beautiful Paradise

From the moment I arrived at the Bequia Beach Hotel, I was made to feel welcome and very special. The team were incredible, very attentive and always happy to help.

It was the small things at the Bequia Beach Hotel; from the cocktail upon arrival, to the phone call the day after arriving just to check I was okay and had everything I needed. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with a fantastic Caribbean-chic style.

It was an excellent place to be in in quarantine; I still had the freedom to go to the beach, my room had the most heavenly view of the water and the food was delicious.

I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly! It truly is paradise.

Amazing short break in Bequia

We stayed in the Bequia beach hotel for 6 days last month following a break in Barbados. The hotel and the island are beautiful. Twelve months ago, we had not heard of Bequia. Now we wish we had had longer there. The island reprfesents the true Carribean and doesn't seem to have changes much over the years. The hotel is quite new but feels like it has been there forever. The beachfront suites are great with lots of space and a short walk to the beach from your bed! The restaurants are very good although we found the main restaurant better than Blue Tropic. All the staff are incredibly helpful and the hotel goes out of its way to do the little things that make you feel special. The highlight of our stay was our trip to Mustique on the hotel's own luxury yacht 'Star of the Sea'. The yacht is often on private charter so you cannot book trips like ours ahead. We were so lucky that it was not on a charter when we were there and were delighted to take an amazing sail across to Mustique for the day. A never to be repeated experience. We cannot speak too highly of all aspects of our stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and this makes a stay so much more enjoyable. We now know a little more about Bequia. It s an enchanting small island in the Grenadines which we will always love.

Perfect piece of the Caribbean

The virtues of this hotel have been extolled considerably in the press over the last twelve months. We spent a week there to see for ourselves what the fuss was about:

-location: In Friendship Bay on the Atlantic side of the island in a fantastic cove which made for a picturesque setting. Beautiful views to Mustique and other small islands, including a working whaling station nearby, although no whales caught for several years. A short but stiff walk takes you to Princess Margaret Bay (or the quieter Lower Bay) which are fantastic beaches and great swimming. The hotel owns the popular Jacks beach bar there so you have access to loungers etc and can charge meals to your account. Highly recommended
Rooms: We had room 54 a beach front location which was perfection itself. Great décor, great patio and a comfortable bed.
Grounds: very special indeed and very roomy. More modern than anticipated but done impeccably

Staff: Reception absolutely brilliant-made you feel special from the off and continued throughout the stay. Exceptionally friendly but genuine with it. Cleaning staff very good and some real stars elsewhere like the lovely Emily and the enthusiastic Grayson. Seemed to get along with each other very well

Restaurants: Beautifully situated on the beach and a variety of themes throughout the week. Food fine generally although oats at breakfast and decaff coffee would have added something.

Treasure found! 100% returning to Bequia Beach Hotel

Bequia Beach Hotel and Bequia itself is time well spent. I am still kicking myself that I did not stay longer. It was paradise found and now I long for more. The owner Bengt, who frequents the hotel, mingles and connects with guests and his friendly and professional staff make this a phenomenal experience. The attention to detail is seen in the stylish, eclectic-Caribbean décor, beautifully manicured property and right down to the fact that every sheet and napkin is hand ironed on the property. Shay who works on the beach/water sport recreation was all smiles, helpful and did not judge my stand up paddles board skills (or lack of), Donna from housekeeping found sunscreen and après lotion for me when I ran out! And the front desk staff is the sweetest and so helpful.
I enjoyed the sunset cruise on the hotel owned superyacht “Star of the Sea” and the bartender Peter (who also tends bar at the hotel), immediately remembered my friends and my drink. It was the dot on the ‘i’ in impeccable service.
The hotel itself, the staff and small beautiful, but vibrant island make this a location that I plan to return to with friends. Sooner than later. I feel I found a gem in the Caribbean that no one knows about, which is partly why I nearly hesitate to share and write a review. However, the undeniably above and beyond service I got to experience by Bequia Beach Hotel deserves a big shout out and for more good people to experience and visit Bequia.

Tips:
-Explore the island and all the views.
-Jack’s Beach Bar, walk or take hotel shuttle over to the hotel beach bar on opposite side of island.
-Take part in the morning yoga sessions that are held outside on a platform by the beach. I don’t do yoga on the regular, but really enjoyed it.

A Caribbean Idyll

Bequia Beach Hotel has a rustic, colonial charm, with modern facilities, that is second to none of those we have experienced on our extensive travels. Everywhere is beautifully clean, there is excellent wi-fi coverage, the food is good and plentiful and the staff cannot be more cheerful, helpful, friendly and fun. Set on the Atlantic shoreline with the soothing, somnambulic constant of ocean breakers, in lovely grounds (Matthew’s Wednesday garden tour was very good), we found the hotel met, and in many areas, exceeded our expectations. We slept, snoozed, ate, drank, read, iPaded, swam, walked (repeated) ourselves into a relaxed stupor, occasionally achieving ‘standstill’ status, in the first few days and had a marvellous 10 day holiday. We went, and would recommend, all inclusive; the hotel is high end and its on site prices reflect that! We walked around the island lots, but Bequia is hilly and many areas are not for the feint-hearted or infirm. The daily 1000 shuttle service to Jack’s Bar, on the Caribbean Sea, is a godsend and a good way to start with access to Princess Margaret Bay and a short walk to Port Elizabeth... the capital village (sic). Bequia is quintessential Caribbean and the Bequia Beach Hotel a jewel within this Grenadinian crown.

The Best in Bequia!

Absolutely worth it! Expertly manicured grounds with a main office that is spacious and comfortable. The staff (Isola, Rima and more) there and at the restaurants were very helpful for any need or want. Each week vacationing guests are treated to a Poolside reception frequently attended by Swedish owner Bengt Mortstedt or one of his family. Delightful people. Breakfast are buffet style with an omlette bar. there are two restaurants, one for 'fine Italian dining'. The place books up quickly and rarely available on short notice. The Resort also provides daily shuttle service to Princess Margaret Beach, a short distance away on the Caribbean side and has to rank as one of the best in the Caribbean.

We have returned

Having stayed last year and enjoyed it so much we decided to return this year. Often you are disappointed the 2nd time, however we found it just the same if not better. The hotel is superb, rooms spotless, food very good and the facilities and staff spot on.
The beach is typical Caribbean Atlantic, not great for swimming but fantastic for walks. The hotel swimming pool is so good and refreshing and kept spotlessly clean.
Can't fault the place and guess what we will return again and again.

An idyllic Caribbean home from home

Recently I was lucky enough to win a short trip to the Bequia Beach Hotel and its stunning yacht, Star of the Sea, for myself and a friend. Though we only had a few days at the hotel, the wonderfully friendly owner and staff treated us like old friends and could not have made us feel more at home. From the warmest of greetings in the stylish Great Room to the hotel’s Saturday lobster night ( delicious!) our first evening set the tone and totally relaxed us before we retired to our extremely spacious, comfortable and authentically furnished Ocean Front Suites just a few steps from the beach. The hotel is unspoiled and beautifully located with one of the most impressive hotel libraries I have seen in years and just the right balance of good service and lack of obsequiousness! We really enjoyed every meal we had and the Caribbean band which sometimes played in the background. Whilst we would have loved to spend more time at the hotel ( and I hope to do so in the future! ), we also thoroughly enjoyed our time on the magnificent Star of the Sea, where we experienced equally excellent service, more fantastic food and terrific sunsets in several different locations. ( If guests were not wishing to spend several days on a yacht St Vincent, Mustique, Mayreau, the Tobago Cays and other gems can easily be reached by speedboat or similar on day trips from Bequia - I remember doing just that many years ago.) For me this was a very welcome return to the Grenadines after some time and I could not think of a nicer place to spend it than at the Bequia Beach Hotel ( and on its elegant yacht!)

"Great hotel with nice friendly staff"

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for 9 nights in January. The hotel is very well run and both the owners and senior management are very hands on, along with a great group of friendly staff. The hotel is in a great quiet position and sat on a lovely beach with the livelier Port Elizabeth only a $10 taxi trip away in an open back pick up truck serviced by Gideon Taxi service who were also very reliable and very nice guys. The hotel also own a great beach bar/restaurant on Princess Margaret Beach called "Jacks" and a free return taxi trip is offered each day and why not catch a local boat taxi to a floating bar in the bay run by two local lads !
Bequia Beach Hotel is probably the best hotel on the island with two very good restaurants and was a great option to our local holiday spot of Barbados.
I am sure you will not be disappointed !!

Laid-back Luxury on a truly special island!

My husband and I spent a wonderful, relaxing, sun-filled week at Bequia Beach Hotel. From the moment we arrived on the island to the moment we left the staff at BBH took amazing care of us and made sure our holiday was perfect. The night we arrived we were greeted with rum punch and escorted to our lovely beach front suite. We were exhausted from a long day of travel and looked forward to a quiet night and some Lobster (it was Saturday, which is Lobster night!). To our surprise there was an owner/management welcome cocktail hour for the guests, which was lovely and set the tone for the whole stay!

The hotel is very beautiful, the grounds are peaceful and the room was kept spotless by the great cleaning staff. Friendship Bay, where the hotel sits, is a public beach but it felt like our own private beach many times. We did visit at the start of the slower season so the island over all was pretty quiet and low key and that was exactly the vibe we were looking for. Peter at the bar and Shea by the pool were so friendly and made sure we had anything we needed each day and night.

I highly recommend the beachfront suite, our room was on the ground floor which meant we could open up the slider and be on the beach in literally 10 steps anytime we wanted too. We dined most nights at the hotel and enjoyed the breakfast that was included in the room rate each morning. By day 2 the breakfast staff knew we liked cappuccinos with our breakfast. The little details at BBH really put it over the top like the large collection of books guests can choose from (many left by other guests for future guests to enjoy) and the steel drum band that played music by the pool one day.

A hidden gem!

An incredible and memorable island to visit. Fell in love with the island instantly followed by the hotel Management. I think I have our friends sold on Bequia as everyone was curious of the island so we will definitely be coming back. Food was fabulous, tons to do. The management took such good care of us even when we had a couple of hours spare before we headed back home by arranging a tour of the island of Saint Vincent. We also enjoyed something we've not seen before, meet the Management evening which was an excellent time to get to know the staff and also those staying at the hotel. We met two couples who we also bonded with.

Fabulous

Having never heard back of Bequia before we were recommended to stay at the Bequia Beach by our travel agent and what a recommendation! Bequia is full of charm. Unspoilt, lovely people and full of Caribbean character. The Bequia Beach hotel is just the perfect base.
We were lucky enough to have a sea facing room which was unbelievably spacious. Flower petals on the bed on arrival. Cleaned and prepared perfectly every day.
All the staff were fabulous. So friendly and happy to do anything we wanted. Food was delicious although we did choose to eat out a few times as there are so many great restaurants nearby. The hotel uses Gideons taxi company and you must do if you ever visit. Jenson and his father and cousin took us everywhere including a fantastic half day trip around the island - an absolute must! Hope to return one day.

Superb beachfront property

Fabulous accommodations and service throughout our entire week long trip. We stayed in a beachfront suite that was well worth the upgrade. Rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed, first class all the way. To sleep with the sound of waves just a short distance away and wake each morning with a view of the beautiful beach, turquoise water, and island of Mustique off in the distance was spectacular. Excellent open air dining at both Bagatelle and Blue Tropic from breakfast to dinner with live music 3 days during our visit. There is a small reef and good snorkeling off the far end of Friendship beach. The staff was efficient, friendly and focused on excellent customer service throughout our entire experience from reservation assistance to front office, restaurants and bar, beach and pool, and housekeeping. Superb first class experience in every way. Wonderful place to enjoy a quiet beach experience!

One of a kind destination

Incredibly special destination, memories for a lifetime!

The entire team at the BBH, Start of The Sea and One Caribbean treated us like family. The room with views of the Ocean was magical, just a few steps to the pristine beach. The service & staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. The restaurant Bagatelle offers a beautiful breakfast and delicious lunch/dinner menu, we arrived on Lobster & live music night which was a delight...

Our engagement and Bday celebrations were incredibly special and made so particularly by such hospitality, on-point recommendations and kindness. From a surprise arrival, swimming with sea turtles in Tobago Cays, Caribbean rainbows, bright sunshine and moody skies; our stay made memories for a lifetime!

BBH will always hold a special place in our hearts, it's lush and immaculate ground are enchanting, the rooms are pristine and the people who operate this resort deeply care about the guest experience. We highly recommend it to all those seeking a magical experience, on a very special and unique Caribbean Island.

First stay, won't be the last

Having visited the island on 2 previous occasions for a day each time on a cruise we thought we would give it a try for a 2 week stay. We were not disappointed. Bequia is a beautiful island with wonderful friendly people.
The hotel itself is positioned on a typical beautiful Caribbean beach. The facilities are excellent. We stayed in a classic room (the most competitive, or should I say cheapest) and it was exactly what you require on holiday. Clean, spacious, fantastic shower, comfortable bed and a great balcony with 2 very comfortable lying beds. We will definitely return.

Wonderful Hotel, even better service

Booked here for a few days leading up to a charter sail, and couldn't have been happier. I arrived before my friends and spent two glorious, relaxing days alone and this place was paradise. The staff met me at the airport with ice water and a cold towel, and on arrival to the hotel there was a drink waiting as well as the amazing staff, ready to give a tour of the ground. The staff in the restaurant were friendly but not overbearing, and Shay and the rest of the pool staff were amazing. I borrowed a couple of books from the lobby library, which was nice as I didn't bring a book of my own.

A few tips:
-- agree with other reviewers that the beachfront rooms are well well worth the money
-- get a taxi into town for a late pizza lunch at Mac's, then walk over the path to Jack's for a swim, sunset and cocktails. The hotel will hold your key and give you a voucher so your Jack's bill can be put on your room tab which is hugely convenient.
-- bring bug spray for adventures elsewhere on the island (i.e Jacks), but I honestly never had a problem with the bugs at the hotel.

5 Stars, What else !

We spent 5 nights at the Bequiabeachhotel
and the most difficult moment was the day we had to leave this fantastic place!

The island of Bequia is beautiful with a very nice atmosphere where you feel comfortable in no time. The hotel is located on a superb beach almost empty (because everybody goes to the other side of the island). It is absolutely stunning!

The hotel reaches perfection in every sector: rooms (we had a standard room which was perfect), service, location and food. 2 swimming pools to enjoy between a great swim in the sea, paradise!

We really hardly recommend this place in the heart of the Grenadines islands. There is no hesitation to have, you can book there, you won’t be disappointed.

PS: the day of our departure, the hotel even offered us the taxi ride until the harbor and arranged for us a stop over in the other hotel of the owner in Saint-Vincent. What a lovely way to take care of the guest till the very last minute. Thanks again to the management!
We will definitely come back

Wonderful Hotel - one night was not enough

Having stayed a couple of nights in Frangipani, close to the port, and been thoroughly disappointed we came to Bequia Beach Hotel, an Oasis in the Caribbean. This hotel complex is beautifully laid out on Friendship Beach with beautiful gardens and exquisite rooms covering a range of sizes and prices to suit every budget (definitely recommend splurging on a higher category) . We were given a terrific welcome and taken to our room which had a lovely view across the gardens towards the beach. With two pools and a manicured beach it was perfect to swim and relax. The hotel has an excellent restaurant where we had a delicious dinner and a quality breakfast. If you are visiting St Vincent and the Grenadines the Bequia Beach Hotel is a must. Looking at the web site after the visit we note the owner also has a hotel on St Vincent and has an aircraft that can bring you to Bequia without getting your feet wet.

Amzing amazing amazing

Think the title says it all !
Is such a beautiful place, and the staff are super friendly and attentive.

The private beach is lovely, rough a little (the sea) but super fun! Me and my fiance love this place, and my sister went prior with her husband and also raved about BBH!

Honestly whoever is thinking of booking and is undecided, believe me when I say; BOOK IT, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

The rooms are gorgeous and the food is out of this world !!

honestly the best place I have stayed in, with respect to the whole of the Caribbean !

I can not fault anything about the hotel , it was definitely our favourite of the three we stayed at.
The staff are so helpful and the owner Bengt is charming , our room was a beachfront one and was spotless and really stylish , the restaurants both serve amazing food ,and reasonable prices especially the cocktails at the bar . the lobster night is a must !
The people on the island are so friendly and you feel totally safe wherever you go

Our little getaway

This is the second time that we have stayed at the Bequia beach hotel and it has not disappointed.
For us, it's a mini break while we are on vacation in the Caribbean.
The hotel is practically on the beach and the main pool in less than 20 metres from the shore. The hotel has many restaurants from which you can choose to dine and there is often live entertainment at night.
It's never too busy so the staff delivery a personalized touch without being intrusive.
Bequia itself is a tropical wondering with lots to see and do but you can easily be tempted to spend all of your time at the hotel's pool, soaking up the sun and ordering rum punch.

Beautiful setting with amazing staff

This is a supremely relaxing and peaceful hotel. The location is literally right on the beach and its only a few minutes by taxi into laid back Port Elizabeth. From our greeting at Bequia airport to our final farewells we enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The staff are so helpful but never intrusive. The Swedish owner is often on site and likes nothing better than to chat to his guests. The food is lovely and lobster night a real treat. We will definitely return.

Perfect Holiday

I cannot recommend this Hotel more highly if you are looking for a place to relax and not do much except read, eat and drink and meet some lovely people, we certainly did!
We stayed in a beach front room (56) which had all that we needed as well as beautiful views out to sea.
The staff to our mind were fantastic and extremely helpful at all times, and I really mean that! nothing was too much even down to Candy in the bar making me pretty much any cocktail I wanted... and I did try a few.
Bengt the owner is the most charming of hosts and his senior staff front of house Anna, Thomas and Rima were always there to help if you needed it.
We stayed at a time of year that is seasonally very quiet and that is how we like it, I am pretty sure we will be back next year.

Amazing Holiday

My husband and I stayed at the Bequia Beach Hotel for one week at the end of October 2017, and had an absolutely amazing stay. The hotel is located on a gorgeous beach with perfect water for swimming. There is also a beautiful beachside pool with very comfortable lounge chairs; so you have your choice of sitting on the beach or close by. Regardless of where you choose to sit the hotel staff will make sure you are comfortable, and offer to deliver whatever you need. The watersports staff are fantastic and available if you want to kayak, paddleboard, etc. The food and service at Bagatelle Restaurant is top notch. Chef Clinton’s dishes are all wonderful. The lobster night is not to be missed, and make sure to have the conch fritters from the bar menu (they are perfect with a rum punch). The wine list is extensive, and very well priced. We stayed in a beachfront room which was perfectly appointed, very comfortable, and had a gorgeous bathroom with Elemis beauty products for showering. We met the wonderful owner who has put together an amazing team to service the guests at his hotel. The gym is very nice with new Technogym equipment. I treated myself to a couple of spa treatments; which were amazing. I also utilized the gorgeous steam shower; which is located in the spa and super relaxing at the end of the beach day. Our entire experience with the hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. We booked the holiday direct with the hotel thru Keeba; who made the whole trip seamless. Also, we were able to fly on the hotel plane; which I highly recommend over the other options. We will definitely return to the Bequia Beach Hotel in the future.

This hotel is a gem on the isle of Bequia. The service, rooms, food and drinks were outstanding. The staff were superb, very helpful, accommodating and welcoming. First of all, the country while geographically and historically similar, was a refreshing break away from home. It possesses a level of authenticity and simplicity that is quite admirable. No large chains or commercialisation, perhaps why some higher profile persons seek its refuge when in need of a complete getaway.
The hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of customer care and services available. The staff were extremely attentive to our every needs and the level of individual attention was impressive.

Peaceful and Luxurious

From the moment the taxi driver provided cool towels and water then phoned ahead with our drinks order from the airport I knew we would be well looked after.

I was amazed by the quality and design of the bedrooms which have been furnished to evoke a feeling of travel from a different era - where else would you find a hotel with a hatstand? A four poster bed, writing desk and a stack of suitcases holding a mirror all contributed to the atmosphere. Yet the room was modern and the bathroom seemed new.

The staff were so friendly and helpful - in fact everyone I met on the island was like that.

Staying end of April early May it was off season but still a great time to visit. The hotel was very quiet and far from full but this probably meant we got even better service and personalised attention. We could not find one single thing to fault and we tried! Marvellous staff, location, room, food, gardens, bird life, beach, sea and views. What is not to like. Would definitely return...

A perfect spot in paradise

We have just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in this hotel. It was our first trip to the Caribbean, everyone told us we had picked the best spot on our first trip. So there is nothing for it, we will have to come back. The restaurant overlooks the bay, it is hard to tear ones self away. We luckily arrived for the last week of the lobster season & indulged oursleves 6 times in the week. The restaurant were always happy to prepare it of us even if it wasn't on the menu.

The pool is great (there is a 2nd smaller one up the hill), the gardens lovely, the rooms large & comfortable, the staff delightful, friendly and obliging even if they are on caribbean time - it took me 6 hours to adjust, my husband 2 days and then we were really on holidays!

Stunning - the Caribbean as it used to be

This was my wife's first return to Bequia in nearly 30 years and my first ever visit to the Caribbean. Before our holiday I was half expecting Bequia to be typically touristy, but I couldn't have been more wrong, Bequia is a true step back in time and, as I was told on numerous occasions, even by visitors from other islands, this is the Caribbean as it used to be.

Bequia is small, safe, extremely friendly and totally unspoilt. It has fabulous beaches, turquoise seas, characterful local restaurants and the people are charming, friendly and so welcoming.

The Bequia Beach Hotel is situated on Friendship Beach, a totally unspoilt beach where you can find locals chatting under the trees and also look out to Mustique, the island of the rich and famous, which is 8 miles offshore.

Within the grounds hotel there are a number of different buildings, each with different accommodation types to suit all tastes. We had a beachfront suite, which looked out on to Friendship Bay and the island of Mustique, which was beautiful. There is nothing like watching the sun come up whilst having an early morning coffee and listening to the ocean roll in on to the beach.
...
If you want a Sandals type holiday then Bequia is not the place for you. If you want unspoilt rustic Caribbean where visitors mix with locals then there is no better place to be. Will we be back? ....... most definitely, we've already started planning to go back year.

Excellent!

Love the decor (not tacky at all), the staff, food, cleanliness and attentiveness (but not overly). Was peaceful and serene. Beautiful location on a beautiful and unspoiled island. Very safe! Perfect weather!

They kept our room immaculate! We had a very nice housekeeper, named Donna. She even kept our ice and complimentary water well stocked! Love that the island is not overburdened with tourists. We get to enjoy the locals and their culture. We rented a small Moke for getting around town. We will most definitely return!

Tranquil gem

Highest recommendations from me for this idylic Hotel. Unhurried, tranquil and totally relaxing establishment. Lovely pool and gardens. Rooms are well decorated, spacious and luxurious. Dining is by way of the two restaurants on site, there are no other local venues in the area so some people may find this to be restrictive.
The main town is a short taxi ride away with it's abundance of restaurants, and local shops. Many worthy of seeking out. All in all certainly a hotel worthy of a fine stay.

The Perfect Beach Vacation

Perfect" is a high bar and both Bequia and the Bequia Beach Hotel clear it with ease.
The weather was perfect every day for 11 days. 80s, sunny, nice breeze. I was never hot or cold. The water is a similar temperature. The island is naturally beautiful, not manicured. There is nothing fussy about Bequia or the BBH. Lots of hills, sloping gently into gorgeous sandy beaches. The water is every color of beautiful blues and came on shore in fun-to-watch waves. BBH is on Friendship Bay, which is good for swimming and crescent-shapped, about 6/10s of a mile long.
...
On the resort itself... the staff is terrific. From the managers, Chris and Cecelia, to the waitresses to the house-keepers -- everyone was friendly and helpful. We ate the majority of our meals at the resort

Beautiful island, wonderful hotel!

We have just returned from our first visit to Bequia and were thrilled to discover this unspoilt and peaceful island. The Bequia Beach Hotel is the perfect place to stay if you want to soak up the relaxing atmosphere and natural beauty of the place. Our very comfortable beachfront suite had uninterrupted views across the sea to Mustique, and the large balcony was great for morning coffee or a private early evening drink.
...
We have stayed at several hotels in the Caribbean and the food at Bequia Beach Hotel is amongst the best we have eaten in this part of the world. The food was imaginative and refreshingly light. The menu is small but changes quite frequently. The floodlit view of the waves from the beachfront restaurant at night resembled a ‘son et lumiere’.

We were surprised, therefore, to read some of the negative comments about the hotel from recent guests, and do not agree with the criticism, which seems to be unfairly judging the Bequia Beach Hotel against the standards and ‘glitz’ of nearby Barbados. Bequia is a place to unwind and recharge the batteries, and to enjoy fabulous scenery – with no crowds. We thought the hotel had captured this atmosphere perfectly and we are already planning our return visit next winter.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel which was one of our best experiences in the Caribbean. The hotel is beautiful, conveniently located in the middle of a very nice botanic garden. Our room was spacious and well equipped, with huge bathroom. They call it garden view, but in fact you can also see the Ocean and it's just wonderful. A jewel in the Caribbean

I have stayed in reallly nice hotels around the world – Hawaii, Asia and the Caribbean, but find it difficult to think of anywhere that tops the Bequia Beach Hotel.

The more I come to Bequia, the more I love it and this hotel was the reason I fell even harder this time. It’s located on Friendship Bay, a perfect beach – mostly vacant, save for a few fishermen’s boats at one end and a couple of people selling beers and refreshments under palm trees the other. You can wander for a stroll up at any time with the waves crashing over your feet, and for me there is nowhere like it on earth.

The hotel itself is really special. It has just the right touches. I don’t ask for a lot, but there is nothing the staff can’t help you with – from sunloungers, umbrellas and towels, to delivering rum punches around the main pool, a hands off touch, but attentive – just right.

Food is spectacular. The chefs really know how to serve fresh fish, salads, club sandwiches and put on lobster fests and all you can eat bbqs, which are fantastic, and good value too. The location of the restaurants is fantastic, overlooking the ocean and Mustique. Dining there for breakfast, lunch and dinner is idyllic.

What more can I say? I could go on forever, but there is no need – come see for yourself. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

I don’t think we could have found a better place to come and relax. The place is fantastic. if you want great international food, a good length pool, beautiful beach, friendly, helpful staff, occasional live music entertainment, a library and water sports facilities all in one place this is the place. It is unrivalled on Bequia.

The furniture is comfortable and a different class. There’s lots of space and different atmospheres from beach chairs to a quite fan cooled library. The masseur in the spa is first class and gym seems to have everything you’d need.

They hosted a fascinating charity evening with British writer Hunter Davies OBE (Beatles biographer) that even the former Prime Minister of SVG came to.

I find it difficult to write this review without sounding like I have shares in this hotel !
From the moment we stepped inside the elegant reception hall, until the day we reluctantly left, we were made to feel, not just like guests, but more like members of an exclusive club.
Each and every member of staff bent backwards to make sure our holiday was comfortable , with little personal touches to ensure we felt truly special and welcome.

Finally, a thank you to Mr. Bengt Mortstedt and all members of his outstanding management team

Absolutely fell in love with this hotel and Bequia. We stayed here for 14 nights in a pool / sea view room number 1 which for an entry level room was fantastic. I was shown around all the other rooms and apart from the 4 bed villa which was out of this world I actually preferred our room.

The room was kept spotlessly clean (thank you very much Aggie we miss you) and was absolutely lovely with molten brown toiletries what more could you ask for.
