We wish to advise and bring your immediate attention of the following development as of today Friday evening 20th March 2020:
The Government of Barbados has announced that, from Sunday 22 March, all visitors arriving from the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States will be placed in quarantine for 14 days, regardless of if they are showing any symptoms of COVID-19. Anyone arriving with a travel history from China, Iran, and South Korea are also subjected to a 14 day quarantine. [https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/barbados]
In light of the Government of Barbados’ actions in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic we are focused more than ever on the health and wellbeing of all of our guests and employees.
Accordingly we must advise you that if you are travelling on or after Sunday 22nd March 2020 to Bequia through Barbados that you may not be allowed nor able to reach Bequia.
Therefore we recommend you to postpone or cancel your trip to safeguard from mandatory quarantine in Barbados.
On behalf of all of us at Bequia Beach Hotel, we send our best wishes for your safety and wellbeing. We are grateful for your loyalty and support and look forward to getting through this and celebrating brighter days ahead together. Until then, please take care.
